The discussion focused on empowering members through technology, highlighting investments that are currently paying dividends. Key technology mentioned includes a new mobile application and online portal allowing members to access details about their power usage and consumption patterns. This technology was particularly useful following a period of consistently cold weather in late December/January, which resulted in high electricity consumption. Other features noted as empowering members include the ability to use prepayment options and choose their own due dates. The entity aims to serve as a trusted energy adviser, preparing for future energy landscape changes, including member inquiries regarding energy storage and solar options.
